They opened another shop in Reading, which has continued to grow, and in 1998 decided to close the Newbury shop and enlarge the Reading store also starting their web site.
Ever since Paul & Karen came into the tobacco trade they have had a special person who they could call on for help and advice Alan Coster of Coster & Son Ltd, Marlow, Bucks. Alan's Grandfather started his business 126 years ago, and as Alan is now 76 he has shut his doors for the last time, ending an era.
At a time when Specialist Tobacconists seem to be on the decline it was a shame to see the Coster name disappear from the trade, so Paul & Karen as a tribute to Alan have incorporated the Coster name into their business, thus becoming (Shave & Coster)
The company motto of 'The customer always comes first' still stands as it always has, without the customer you have nothing states Paul.
